Anyone who has looked for an affordable solution to underwater video recording has most likely realized that the options are VERY slim! Needless to say this was my attraction to the Hero 2. The only problem.... the BLUR!There are a multitude of products to fix the blur, but this is the first product offered by GOPRO, and I must say it is an amazing product. The case functions just like the original, with an identical latching mechanism. The difference in the flat front lens. It gives amazing quality and allow the camera to give sharp focus above or below the water. Note: The new lens cuts off about half of the LCD display, but you can still see most of it. My only complaint is that GOPRO hasn't released any clip on filters; however, I doubt it will be long before they do. You can take off the lens cover with a 6 point screwdriver and drop your own gel filters in there if you'd like, but I'm not sure if this... I am surprised that it picked up the sound as well as it did. You can hear boat motors as they pass near, and us talking on the surface and so forth. Even at 30' if I talked it would record it. When sharing the videos with family and friends we have a very accurate recording of what it both looked and sounded like. I will upload a video taken with the GoPro Hero2 and this housing during a dive at Catalina Island 26 miles off the California coast.
